The Question We Are Not Going to Answer
There is an obvious next question after you look your address up, and it is the one thing this site refuses to touch.
Straight answer
A service line inventory records what a pipe is made of, or that the system has not established it. It is not a measurement of anything at your tap and says nothing about water quality. That question is answered by a test at your tap by a certified laboratory.
What the inventory is a record of
Material. It says what a length of pipe is made of, or that the system has not established what it is made of. That is the entire content of a category.
It is not a measurement of anything at your tap, it was not produced by sampling your water, and it does not change when your water changes.
What we will not say
Whether anybody’s water is safe. Whether a category means there is anything in it. What any of this means for anybody’s health, or for any particular person in a household.
Not because the subject is awkward, but because the honest answer requires a test of the water at that tap by a certified laboratory, and a website that offered a shortcut would be inviting somebody to use it instead of the test.
Where the real answer comes from
Your water system. EPA requires the annual notice to tell recipients that they can request to have their tap water sampled, which is a defined route that already exists and that costs most households nothing.
If you want an answer about water rather than about pipe, that is the door, and it is a better one than anything we could offer. Your state drinking water program can also tell you which laboratories are certified for it.

And we do not tell you what yours is
We have not looked at your address and we hold no copy of anybody’s inventory. The utility has the record; we can only tell you that the record exists and how to reach it.
A site that claimed to know what your line is made of would be guessing, and a guess is exactly what the unknown category exists to refuse.
The other two refusals
No prices. We do not set them and we never see them. What actually moves the number is a more useful page than an invented range.
No verdict on urgency. Whether and when a line should be dealt with depends on the classification, the replacement schedule and the household, and none of those are visible from here.
Why spell it out
Because silence looks identical whether a site considered a question and declined it or never thought about it. A reader who can see what we refused is in a position to judge what we did state.
