The short version is that we introduce people, we do not do the work, and the record about your address belongs to your utility rather than to us.

Straight answer

WaterMainCall introduces and performs no work. It is neither a contractor nor a water utility, it is not party to any agreement you reach, and it states nothing about what the service line at any address is made of.

WaterMainCall is a referral service, not a contractor. We connect homeowners with independent contractors. Contractors are required to hold whatever credential their state or municipality demands, and work on a service line is normally permitted and often coordinated with the utility — ask to see the permit. We carry out no work, we test no water, we do not set prices, and we never charge homeowners anything. Nothing here is a statement about the water at any address.

What is on offer

WaterMainCall is an introduction service. We connect homeowners with independent contractors. We are not a party to any agreement you reach with a contractor, we do not supervise their work and we do not guarantee it.

What the material about the rule is and is not

It describes federal requirements and repeats what EPA publishes: the four inventory categories and their definitions, the dates, the annual notification duty, and what counts as a full service line replacement.

It is not a statement about the service line at any particular address, and it is not legal advice about anybody’s obligations. States administer these requirements and may set their own schedules; rules are amended. Read them at the source and ask your water system about your own case.

What we say nothing about

Water quality, at any address, ever. Nothing here is a statement about what is in anybody’s drinking water or about anybody’s health, and no page should be read as one. Questions of that kind go to your water system, which must tell you in its annual notice that you can request tap sampling, and to a certified laboratory.

Fixing an error here

If something here is wrong, tell us at hello@nxtaflow.com and we will correct it. We would rather be corrected than consistent.

Look your address up first.Your utility has published what your service line is made of, and finding out costs nothing. If it turns out to be your side and it needs work, we will route you to a contractor covering your area, found from the ZIP code you give — you are never charged. Service lines are our subject; anything plumbing-related can be put through the same way.
