Straight answer

Whether a service line is lead is a matter of public record now, and the first job here is to send readers to their own utility’s inventory. WaterMainCall is operated by NXTA Flow, performs no work, tests no water, and takes its material from EPA.

WaterMainCall is a referral service, not a contractor. We connect homeowners with independent contractors. Contractors are required to hold whatever credential their state or municipality demands, and work on a service line is normally permitted and often coordinated with the utility — ask to see the permit. We carry out no work, we test no water, we do not set prices, and we never charge homeowners anything. Nothing here is a statement about the water at any address.

The subject of this site

WaterMainCall is a referral service operated by NXTA Flow. We connect homeowners with independent contractors for water service line repair and replacement.

It exists because of a gap that is unusual in this trade: the information a homeowner needs most here is already published, by their own utility, about their own address — and practically nobody has been told so.

Three documents carry everything on this site that states anything, and each is named and linked on every page that uses it:

Everything else here is mechanism, access and method. None of it asserts a measurement, so none of it needs a citation it could not support.

The things it will not tell you

What your line is made of. Anything about the water at any address. Anything about anybody’s health. A price. A verdict on urgency. Each of those is explained on its own page rather than left as a silence.

Look your address up first.Your utility has published what your service line is made of, and finding out costs nothing. If it turns out to be your side and it needs work, we will route you to a contractor covering your area, found from the ZIP code you give — you are never charged. Service lines are our subject; anything plumbing-related can be put through the same way.
